Afterwards Alza and we verified that location analysis is relevant not only for brick and mortal stores, but it also plays an important role in e-commerce, where the unstoppable trends like Click&Collect or automated distribution points are applied and therefore you need to assess their performance (even when you are a Martian like Alza’s mascot). Projects like Rohlík.cz and Dáme Jídlo followed and thanks to linking data via Keboola Connection it will be the first project fully using location analysis from CleverAnalytics that is updated on a daily basis, so you can expect even better coverage and wider offer from Dáme Jídlo.
Very interesting for us is cooperation with the banking sector, where a small revolution is happening at the moment and so the location analysis is really in its element. We truly enjoyed providing an optimization of branch network , thanks to what the Ceska Sporitelna stands true to their slogan “We are closer to you”, as well as providing a better understanding of customer needs for AirBank. For me the best was the realization that for some people even in a big corporation it is as easy to innovate as in a startup.
With ecology in mind we optimized the leaflet distribution for our clients. By partnering with Freshrevolution we are able to verify that the leaflets end up in the mailbox and not in the container.
Naturally thanks to CleverAnalytics clients will close some of the branch offices or open a new one. Therefore, we have launched a new service called Cestaknam.cz, which allows you to guide each client, where they need to go, and to do it nicely in your own design and with personalized message.
Sometimes even good ideas crash and burn and we also had some missteps during our first year, fortunately not while literally walking on a hot coal during our regular team buildings. For me it was amazing experience: not only the fire walking itself, but mostly the fact that company culture of CleverMaps family really brings people together as a team and with their enthusiasm they attract other skilled people to our company.
In the first half of the year we were able to benefit from mentoring from the South Moravian Innovation Centre as a part of the JIC MASTER project and we made a great progress. We are also trying to give something back, so I am mentoring students from Charles University. Jirka found two promising talented developers for our team and we joined Czechitas in Datagirls seminar. We use a lot of open source technology and thanks to Martin, we contributed back to the community by making our first library for leaflet. We are developing a complete redesign, which will not only bring new features but will also bring us closer to our vision to be a world leader in the design of map applications. Therefore we are always trying new technologies and libraries.
A lot has happened over the last year and we cannot mention everything. But I am really pleased that there are already 10 people in our team, over 40 projects on our platform, first foreign projects are in preparation and for our first birthday we gave ourselves the first Keboola Connection writer. We are looking up for the next year and what a ride that will be!
